Experience
My first winter mountain day was on Skye where I grew up, aged 13. I remember it because it was so cold that one of my teeth fell out and my soup froze.
I spent quite a bit more cold time with the Royal Marines in Arctic Norway – nothing else fell out/off though!
In the last 10 years or so I’ve climbed around Britain and Europe; sometimes in the Alps but also in Slovenia which I really like.
More recently, before joining the Ice Factor I was doing a lot of industrial rope access work and was lucky enough to be involved with some interesting and bizarre film projects. I wonder what will happen next?
